Nicky is a writer, witch, wife, and mother living with mental and chronic illness in Kansas City, Missouri, Home of the Chiefs. Her disabilities include the rare mental illness dissociative identity disorder, which gives her a unique perspective on many subjects.
Nicky’s recent work is focused on helping others. The Resume Journey to Better Paying Employment is a job search guide to help everyday people stuck in a cycle of low-wage jobs find better-paying employment based on their skills and abilities.
Nicky also offers resume services on a sliding scale with discounts for the homeless and economically disadvantaged.
The poetry collection-in-progress, Glimpses: Snapshots of Life Captured in Prose is a project founded on the concept that our eyes and minds are closed to many profound and simple things in life that should not be ignored. Glimpses encourages us to enjoy small peaceful moments as well as take action against societal failings that should make us angry.
Finally, The World Hates Me is a memoir of sorts. The collection of personal essays are first-hand accounts of the failings of the mental health system, government programs, and societal failings in the United States. This collection will shed light on many issues that need to be addressed in our country.

Nicky has been writing website content, blogs, articles, and ebooks for more than 17 years, but is stepping down due to worsening disabilities. She is still taking work on a limited basis. Nicky is also available for structured, preplanned interviews and guest blogs on topics related to mental health, chronic pain, healthcare from a patient perspective, careers, and poverty.
